DigitalOman.ai is a privacy-first AI assistant app that lets you chat with AI models — either locally on your device (fully offline) or through cloud providers you connect via API. It also includes productivity tools like Gmail integration, Notes, To-Do lists, Transcription, and Internet search — all designed to keep your data on your device.
Yes. All your conversations, files, credentials, and notes are stored exclusively on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to your personal data. When using a local AI model, no data leaves your device at all. For full details, please read our Privacy Policy.
Yes! The app ships with a default local LLM that runs entirely on your device. You can also upload your own local models. In offline mode, AI processing, image analysis (via ML toolkit), notes, to-do, and transcription all work without an internet connection. Features like Internet search and cloud AI models naturally require connectivity.
Tap the AI button in the chatbox, then select "Import your AI API". Choose a provider (Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, Groq, Mistral, DeepSeek, or Qwen), enter your API key, and select a model from the dropdown. You can also tap "Add Custom API" to connect any OpenAI-compatible endpoint like Ollama, LM Studio, or OpenRouter. Your API keys are stored only on your device.
Ad Score is displayed in the golden box in the app header. It represents rewards you earn through interacting with the app's ad-supported features. The ads are served via Google AdMob and help keep the app free for all users.
The app retains your 5 most recent conversations. Older conversations are automatically deleted for data security and storage efficiency. You can also manually delete any conversation at any time from the Chat History panel.
In CoWork, tap Gmail and sign in with your Gmail address and an app password (not your regular password). Your credentials are stored only on your device. Once connected, you can view recent emails, get AI-powered summaries and overviews, compose emails with AI enhancement, and generate smart replies — all processed through your selected AI model.
Yes! Tap the Add button (+) in the chatbox and choose Image, Camera, or File. For images, if your selected AI model supports vision, the image is sent directly for analysis. If not, the app's built-in ML toolkit extracts text from the image and passes it to the AI. For PDFs and files, relevant text is extracted and sent to your AI model for analysis.

Create notes with AI Enhance to generate polished versions alongside your originals. Export as TXT, PDF, or DOCX. Manage tasks with dates — upcoming tasks inform your AI for context.

Troubleshooting

Common issues and how to resolve them.

FixAI model not responding

If using a cloud model, verify your API key is correct and has not expired. Check your internet connection. If using a local model, ensure the model file was fully downloaded and is compatible. Try switching to the default local LLM to confirm the app is working.

FixImage analysis not working

Make sure you have granted camera and storage permissions. If your AI model doesn't support image recognition, the app will automatically use ML toolkit for text extraction — ensure the image contains readable text. For best results with images, use a cloud model with vision support (e.g., GPT-4o, Gemini).

FixGmail connection failed

Ensure you are using an app password, not your regular Gmail password. You can generate an app password at myaccount.google.com/apppasswords. Two-factor authentication must be enabled on your Google account to create an app password.

FixInternet search returns no results

Check your internet connection. If you have a filter selected (News, Location, Images, or Video), try deselecting it to perform a general web search instead. Some queries may return limited results depending on the search category.

TipCustom API not connecting

When adding a custom OpenAI-compatible API, double-check the endpoint URL includes the full path (e.g., http://localhost:11434/v1 for Ollama). If using a local server, make sure it's running. For bearer token authentication, verify the API key is correct. Use the quick presets (Ollama, LM Studio, OpenRouter) for auto-filled configurations.

TipTranscription quality is low

Speak clearly and minimize background noise. The transcription engine works best in quiet environments. If possible, hold your device closer to the speaker. After transcription, use the AI Summarize feature to clean up and structure the output.
